The National Talent Academy for Animation in partnership with Creative Media Academy Ireland is delighted to launch the 2D Animation Transition Course in Toon Boom Harmony. This course is supported by Animation Skillnet and has been designed as a bridging programme, both for animation graduates looking for their first opportunity with a professional studio, and for those seeking career advancement.
Course Overview
The course focuses on the real-world skills and training needed to be up to speed on industry standard software and also on how to work as part of a TV production pipeline. It is managed and delivered by highly experienced animation professionals that are working in the industry today.
The course will be run remotely with access to the lectures and material online.
Course Breakdown
Week 1 – Fundamentals of Toon Boom Harmony
Week 2 – Animation guide/ Posing Fundamentals
Week 3 – Breakdowns : Mapping arcs and timing
Week 4 – Animation finals/ Studio expectations: Polishing shots to expected studio standard

Requirements
Participants will need a strong showreel demonstrating their animation skills.
This course will be run as a remote studio set up with all interaction with tutors and other participants online. Participants will need access to a basic computer / screen and graphics tablet and decent stable internet connection.
All other software will be provided.
Candidates must be resident in Ireland.
